When was the last time you actually saw some music? (And the light show at a Deadmau5 gig doesn’t count).

Well, musician Logan Gendizzle made this Vine to give viewers a close up of what is going on in the guitar strings while playing Weezer’s classic tune Say it Ain’t So.

The frame rate of the video allows you to see the strings oscillate as they are played, giving you a visual representation of however each note is created.

And if you’re not interested in the science behind the music, then it still looks (and sounds) pretty cool.
