Different versions of Internet Explorer are used by different users. Let’s first look at the process of Internet Explorer 6 cookies being deleted.
Steps for Internet Explorer 6 running on Windows XP
Click on Start Menu to begin. After that, click on Run. A window will open after you have selected Run. Enter “inetcpl.cpl”, and hit the enter key. Click on the General tab, then click on the option to Delete Cookies in Internet Properties dialog box. This is located under Temporary Internet Files. Once you have done this, click the Delete Files dialog. After this is complete, click on the Delete all Offline Content check box. After selecting it, click Delete. If you’re using Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP, all cookies will be deleted.
Steps for Internet Explorer 7 & 8 running on Windows XP & Vista
Click on Start Menu for Vista and XP. After that, click on Run to start XP. After clicking Run, a window will open in XP. Type “inetcpl.cpl”, and hit Enter. For Vista, type “inetcpl.cpl”, in the start box after clicking on Start Menu. Click on the General tab, then click on the option to Delete Cookies in Internet Properties dialog box. This is located under Temporary Internet Files. Once you have done this, click on the Delete Files dialog. After this is complete, click on the Delete All Offline content check box. After selecting it, click OK. If you’re using Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP & Vista, all cookies will be deleted. www.office.com/myaccount
This will allow you to delete all cookies on your computer. If you’re still unsure if the files were deleted, this is how to verify. On the General tab, go to the Internet Properties dialog box. Click on View Files, which is located under Temporary Internet Files. After following the procedure above to delete cookies, you will see no text files. It is confirmed that all cookies have been removed if there are no text files found in this location.
